Upon your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport, you will be greeted by your trekking guide or representative from the company. You’ll be transferred to your hotel in Kathmandu. Depending on your arrival time, you may have a chance to explore the vibrant streets of Kathmandu or rest and prepare for the trek ahead. An orientation session will also be held to provide an overview of the trek.
After breakfast, you will drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Bensi, the starting point of your trek. The drive takes you along the Trishuli River, passing through small towns, terraced fields, and deep valleys, offering scenic views of the mountains. Upon arrival at Syabru Bensi, you’ll check into your lodge for the night.
Today, your trek begins with a steady ascent along the Langtang River. The trail passes through dense forests of oak, bamboo, and rhododendron, with occasional views of Langtang Lirung and other peaks. You’ll stop at Rimche for a rest before continuing to Lama Hotel, where you’ll stay overnight.
As you ascend, the landscape begins to open up, offering better views of the surrounding mountains. You’ll pass through the beautiful Ghodatabela and the trail gradually climbs to Mundu, a charming village offering magnificent views of the Langtang Valley. Overnight stay at Mundu.
Today’s trek is short but rewarding, as you will trek towards Kyanjin Gompa, the spiritual center of the region. The trail offers incredible views of Langtang Lirung, Kimshi Peak, and Dorje Lakpa. Kyanjin Gompa is a significant Buddhist monastery, and you will be able to visit the monastery and explore the area in the afternoon. Overnight in Kyanjin Gompa.
Today is an acclimatization day, allowing your body to adjust to the higher altitude. You’ll hike to Chorkari Ri, a viewpoint offering 360-degree views of the Langtang range, including Langtang Lirung and Dorje Lakpa. This hike is relatively short but offers dramatic views of the snow-capped peaks surrounding the valley. Return to Kyanjin Gompa for an overnight stay.
Today, you begin descending back to Lama Hotel. The route follows the same trail down through Mundu and Ghodatabela, offering you a new perspective of the landscape. The descent is easier on the body but requires careful attention to avoid slipping on rocky terrain. Stay overnight at Lama Hotel.
After breakfast, you’ll continue descending for a while before the trail begins to ascend again to Thulo Syabru, a picturesque village with views of the surrounding hills and forests. This day’s trek involves passing through subtropical forests and small settlements. Stay overnight in Thulo Syabru.
Today’s trek takes you to Shin Gompa, a small Buddhist monastery. The trail climbs through forests and offers occasional views of the Ganesh Himal range. Upon arrival in Shin Gompa, you can visit the monastery and enjoy the serene environment. Overnight in Shin Gompa.
The trek today takes you higher into the mountains to the sacred Gosaikunda Lake, passing through rocky trails and alpine meadows. The day starts with a challenging ascent over the Laurebinayak Yak Pass at 4610 meters. From the pass, you’ll be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding peaks, including Langtang Lirung and Ganesh Himal. After crossing the pass, you’ll descend to Ghopte, where you will rest for the night.

After breakfast, you’ll trek down to Melamchi Pul Bazaar and take a 2-hour drive back to Kathmandu. The drive offers a scenic view of rural life, valleys, and rivers. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.
On your final day, depending on your flight schedule, you may have some free time for shopping or sightseeing in Kathmandu. Your guide will transfer you to the airport for your departure, marking the end of the unforgettable Langtang Gosaikunda Trek.
